Malnutrition is often overlooked as a symptom of long COVID.
A recent cohort study of COVID-19 investigating nutritional status, subjective functional loss and disability at 6 months after discharge reported that undernutrition and loss of muscle strength are major symptoms of long COVID. Following a severe COVID infection, obese subjects and those who have been in intensive care are at a greater risk of functional loss or undernutrition. Your thoughts and experiences are welcome!
